How To Setup A Free Metatrader VPS For Forex EAs and Signals On Amazon EC2

Get the video notes here:

In a previous tutorial, I showed you how to use a cheap netbook to create a Metatrader server that you can use to run your Expert Advisors (EAs) and indicators that send signals.

The only problem with that solution is that if the power or internet goes out at your house, you won’t get signals and your trades won’t execute. You can solve this by getting a VPS or virtual private server.

It is a server that is always running so you don’t have to worry about the power going out or the internet going down. With a few simple setups, you can get up and running and use it just like you would use your laptop at home. This video will show you exactly how to set it up.

Is it possible to run multiple MT4 accounts at the same time on a VPS with different EA?

Luis Carlos Aguirre says:

Thanks for the video but I have a question . At what point must be installed the expert advisor? First, Do I have to install in the MT4 the expert advisor and then upload all together to ec2 amazon? Or first I upload MT4 to ec2 amazon and once inside the instance created I have to install the expert advisor?

What forex EA’s do you use?

Thanks for sharing 🙂
My EA requires a low latency connection and my broker’s data center is located in New York and London. Is it possible for me to choose location for the VPS so i can connect it as close as possible to my broker’s server?
