good stuff man, thx for uploading…
anyone out there… would you share your opinion about installing this “Gnome minumum desktop” compared to installing something different, like a different Linux distribution?? (my purpose would still be the same, that is, being able to VNC into it, and getiing myself a “cloud computer”)….
does this installation starts out of scratch? meaning, you only need the Linux shell to start with…? because as of 2017 DigitalOcean makes it very easy for you to create your “droplet” with Ubuntu Server already installed … sorry, I’m linux newbie…. yeah, I guess I can search for all of these answers in Google search, but just saying, if anyone wanna give his/her two cents….
Hope this helps.

This is a lot of steps to me as I sort of new to Linux. I wish Digital Ocean would just make a set of droplets that already had a GUI layer already installed and functional. Have they added this yet?
when i execute # yum groupinstall -y ‘Desktop’ it tells me that “No packages in any requested group available to install or update” …. some help plz? im a linux total newbie
update: i managed to install something, by typing “GNOME Desktop” instead of only “Desktop” …
… but now… i get the “No packages in any requested groups available…” error when trying to execute the # yum groupinstall -y fonts
Can I do this also on Ubuntu? Not just on CentOS
is this still up to date method?
can this work for winodow 7? if so im doing something wrong 🙁 please answer me as soon as you could
thanks
