I previously had an earlier version of Acronis Backup. I decided to upgrade to the 2018 version.
I uninstalled the old version, rebooted my computer and started the install of the new version.
During the installation the installer said I had an old version on my computer. I aborted the installation
and did a search and found a couple of empty folders with the name Acronis. I deleted the folders, rebooted
the computer and tried the installation again only to have the same error message appear. I finally found
Acronis customer service (888-889-3708) (781-782-9000). When I selected home user they said all tech support was NOT
free and they wanted a credit card … NO WAY !

Maybe Acronis didn’t have continuous backup when the testing was done for this video, but it does now! I had Carbonite before Acronis. Carbonite was quite annoying. It wouldn’t let me edit files while it was backing them up. This backup could take a long time for video files. Of course I could disable Carbonite while I edit, but that just takes extra steps. I’ll also have to remember to turn it back on when I’m down. When I’m working on many projects at a time, it’s simply more mentally draining and de-motivating. I never had that issue with Acronis. It’s interface is also simpler. It’s my new favorite backup program now.

WOW, yesterday, Aug 22, 2016 I was looking over Acronis Unlimited Cloud. I left it on my screen over night, and the next day I decided to ask a couple of questions and when I refreshed the page, the entire site had changed and that product no longer existed. I just about purchased it the night before but decided to sleep on it and ask questions the next day. 🙁 THe pricing is still inline with other services, but not unlimited anymore.

John Wolgamot says:

Well, I’m not sure, but I could not locate the unlimited cloud backup on the Acronis site but I did find it under my free 3TB trial I got when I purchased the upgraded to Acronis 2016 last night. And as luck has it, 12 hours later they came out with Acronis 2017. I think I may hop on that Unlimited upgrade for $99 because it allows me to upgrade to the next version. At $99 a year, that is inexpensive for even 1TB
